This is a clarinet quintet suitable for an intermediate group with varying skill levels. It can work at many tempos, not necessarily just at 104 BPM. You can also perform this as a clarinet quartet without the bass clarinet; the piece is written such that it is still coherent without the bass clarinet.

 

Composed in the winter during some unprecedented weather, the hope is that the lilt of the 6/8 might bring some much needed joy, or alternatively, reflect the instability of winter storm weather.
