Playing with the enharmonic equivalency of German Augmented 6th chords and Dominant 7th chords. Here, a seemingly repeated German Augmented 6th chord is actually functioning as an applied Dominant 7th chord which starts off a chain of more applied Dominant 7th chords. And that's an analysis of our auditory perception of the music, not necessarily just strictly the note spelling/enharmonic equivalencies.

My interview of Mr. Dan Horner (Head of Music at St. Andrew's College, Conductor of the Toronto Youth Symphonic Winds) was interesting and insightful. We learned about his musical background, his view on music education and leadership, and how he avoids burnout.

Dr. Colleen Richardson gave a very compelling presentation on her teaching philosophy to the MUS 1802B Winter 2025 class. I appreciated her view that we needn't drop our standards as educators just because we're working with more inexperienced students. Instead, we should continue to push them so they can grow and earn a sense of fulfillment.
